Small Business Sales Enablement Advisor at Dell, Inc.
LaToya Collins-Jones’ current role at Dell is a Small Business Sales Enablement Advisor for the Dell Innovator’s Credit Fund. She is responsible for creating and implementing small business sales integration infrastructure, technology solutions, and customer engagement as it relates to the Dell Innovator’s Credit Fund.
In addition to her current role, LaToya volunteers and assists with various small business initiatives at Dell such as supporting Dell’s diverse small business initiative. Her involvements on these projects include sales support, attending and presenting at conferences, and providing thought leadership. She is most proud of the Black Enterprise Small Business Makeover featured in the March 2012 publication of Black Enterprise.
During her tenure at Dell, LaToya has held various roles. Prior to her current role, LaToya briefly worked as a Lead Development Representative for Dell KACE which involved speaking to customers about their systems management infrastructure. She began as a North America Consumer sales representative and quickly rose in the ranks to a Consumer Sales coach. As a Sales Coach, she was responsible for strategically driving the sales activities of sales representatives. Through displaying leadership, the opportunity to lead various projects was given which included social media, process improvements, pipeline management, and improving efficiency. As a result of her success as a Consumer Sales Coach, she was chosen to be the Sales Coach for the Consumer Sales Support team and Dell’s Small Business Division for a couple of months each due to business needs.
Prior to Dell, LaToya worked as a small business consultant that specialized process improvements, project management, and IT implementation. She also taught research and was an assistant facilitator for math at the University of Phoenix-Savannah campus.
LaToya has a bachelor’s in Business Administration with Honors from Paine College and a Master of Business Administration from Troy State University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate degree in business administration from Walden University. Her doctoral work encompasses the digital divide, small businesses, and IT strategy and implementation based on small business demographics.
