Brand Camp University
Brand Camp University was founded in 2008 by personal brand strategist Hajj Flemings, who saw the need to help people manage their identity on the social web in a changing globally marketplace. Brand Camp started out as a local Detroit-based conference and has expanded to Boston and New York with other markets on the horizon for 2012.
Brand Camp is a gathering of thought leaders, technologist, geeks, and creative’s around a discussion on branding, entrepreneurial thinking, social media and the use of technology. The purpose of Brand Camp is to change how people work, launch, grow ideas and use technology as personal brands, entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs.
Brand Camp focuses on creating a transformational learning experience around 4-Cores areas called: BETAs [Branding + Entrepreneurship + Technology + Aspiration + Startups] to help people think of themselves as brands and for brands to become more human.
Hajj Flemings – CEO/Founder of Brand Camp University
Hajj is the founder of Brand Camp University the largest personal branding conference in the Midwest and the author of “The Brand YU Life: Re-thinking Who You Are Through Personal Brand Management”.
He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, ESPN.com, and travels nationally speaking as a brand strategist. His clients include Walt Disney, Ford Motor Company, the U.S. Department of Defense and other Fortune 500 companies. Hajj is also a BlackEnterprise.com columnist who writes about technology, social media and branding for small business. He will also be featured in CNN Black In America 4, which airs on 11/13/11.
He is a former collegiate athlete turned adjunct lecturer at his alma mater, Michigan Technological University, where he wrote the personal branding curriculum. He received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech University and his MBA from Lawrence Tech University. He is married to his lovely wife, Kasandra and cherishes his beautiful daughter Kennedy Nicole.
